Riverside, California – In Riverside County, the price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline fell again on Friday, marking the 18th day in a row of decreases and the 31st in the last 32 days. It went down by 2 cents to $4.941. Over these 32 days, the total decrease has been 34.9 cents, which includes a 1.1-cent drop on Thursday, as reported by the AAA and Oil Price Information Service. This downward trend had a brief interruption when the price rose by six-tenths of a cent on May 13, but it began falling again the following day.
Currently, the average price is 6.7 cents lower than last week, 34.4 cents lower than last month, yet 9.6 cents higher than the same time last year. Since reaching a peak of $6.373 on October 5, 2022, the price has fallen by $1.432.

Nationally, the average price of gasoline decreased for the eighth straight day, falling 1 cent to $3.559. This reduction follows a minor drop of six-tenths of a cent the previous day. Over the last week, the national average has fallen by 5 cents after initially rising by a total of 2.5 cents across three separate increases. It stands 9.8 cents lower than a month ago and 1.7 cents less than this time last year.
Since hitting a record high of $5.016 on June 14, 2022, the national average price has decreased by $1.457.
